Specific Responsibilities
In addition to general corporate skills, the person in the position will be responsible for:
- Working with clients to develop specifications
- Designing systems based on specifications
- Programming systems based on designs and specifications
- Testing and QA
- Maintaining current and legacy systems
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Perl, MySQL, Linux
- Experience with hand-coded HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Overall knowledge of Web technologies and client/server relationships
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Comfort developing applications for a broad range of industries
- Linux administration capabilities, including server and programming security techniques
- The drive and interest to keep up with a fast-moving industry
- The ability to work independently or in teams
- ASP, PHP, .NET, MSSQL, and any other web development languages or systems a plus
